Objective: To understand the current status of nurses participating in the monitoring of adverse drug reactions (ADR) and to analyze the existing problems. Methods: According to the “Drug Administration Law” and “Adverse Drug Reaction Reporting and Monitoring Management Measures” of the Ministry of Health, a questionnaire on nurses’ ADR monitoring was designed by themselves. The basic concepts, reporting awareness, reporting scope and procedure, legal awareness of 240 nurses survey. Results: More than 90% of the respondents thought it necessary to report ADR. However, they did not know ADR concept, unclear legal provisions, concealed reports, omissions or misrepresentations were common. Conclusion: Nurses are the discoverer and treatment executor of ADR. Nurses play an important role in ADR monitoring. However, due to the current problems, the reporting rate is still very low, far from exerting the monitoring effect on ADR and should be taken seriously.
