1994年3月14日22点50分,广深线K96+350～+410处发生滑坡,滑坡体长约60m、宽约30m、厚6～7m,覆盖了上下行线,滑坡体掩埋了下行线上机车部分车体,机车向上行线倾斜,以致上下行线运输中断。 此处滑坡位于常平站与樟木头站之间,距两站各8kin和6km。铁路两侧是山坡地,从滑坡处到公路的最近距离约5kin,其间全是山间小路,然后再沿公路走约20km才能到达常平站或樟木头站。
At 22:50 on March 14, 1994, a landslide occurred at K96 + 350-410 of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen line. The landslide body is about 60m long, 30m wide and 6-7m thick, covering both the up and down lines.
