《西游记》是由明代著名小说家吴承恩将民间的故事编撰而成的一部巨作,是中国古典四大名著之一。这部作品写于明朝的中期,当时的政治败坏,人们生活苦不堪言。作者以历险故事的形式讽刺这种经济繁荣、政治败坏、百姓生活艰苦的状况。《西游记》共有六十多万字,分为一百回,讲述了唐僧、孙悟空、猪八戒、沙僧师徒四人经历九九八十一难,西天取经的离线故事。《西游记》是一部结构完整的,用幻想的形式来讽刺社会现象的优秀的小说。这部小说在艺术创作中有着巨大的成就:人物形象生动、故事情节曲折、艺术想象非常奇特、语言幽默诙谐,取得了巨大的艺术成就。
Journey to the West is a masterpiece made by Wu Cheng’en, a famous novelist of the Ming Dynasty, who compiled folk stories. It is one of the four famous Chinese classical books. Written in the middle of the Ming dynasty, the painting was corrupted by politics and life was miserable. The author satirizes in the form of adventures this economic prosperity, political corruption, hard life of the people. There are more than 600,000 words in the Journey to the West, divided into 100 back stories about the off-line story of the monk, the Monkey King, the Pigs and the Shamans and the disciples’ experience of 9981 and the Western Learning. Journey to the West is a well-structured fictional novel that satirizes social phenomena. This novel has great achievements in artistic creation: vivid characters, twists and turns of stories, unusual artistic imagination, humorous language and great artistic achievements.
