伊拉克北部地区的水蚀是相当严重的,这一地区属于低强度降雨区,因此,它的侵蚀特性与高强度降雨区的侵蚀特性有很大的差异.本文用该区两个天然径流实验场的资料,推导降雨径流和土壤侵蚀间的关系,结果表明,两者之间呈线性变化.在实验小区内,沟蚀和片蚀是主要的.土壤流失量和雨强之间为指数关系,指数值未超出其它降雨区的观测值范围.此外,对各小区在不同地表状况条件下的平均土壤侵蚀也进行了测量.
