More than 3,000 participants attended the Third World Congress of Nuclear Medicine held in Paris in 1982 and exchanged over 1,000 articles. The conference was rich in content, which fully reflected the current picture and trend of nuclear medicine. In the four years since the second congress, nuclear medicine technology has made tremendous progress in the following aspects. 1. Single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) is maturing. Bioactive substances such as radiolabeled metabolites, antibodies and receptor ligands are increasing. 3. The success of nuclear techniques in studying the local glucose metabolism and energy metabolism in the brain has opened up broad prospects for the study of human metabolism in vivo. 4. Free hormones, receptors and other in vitro radioactive analysis technology has also made great progress. The clinical application of these technologies has led to the continuous development of clinical nuclear medicine to a greater extent and depth, in coordination with other non-nuclear medical methods,
