粤曲古镇广场上有一个小戏台,市粤剧团隔三差五的就在这里演出。古镇人吃过晚饭后,扛个小板凳,三五成群的结队聚到广场上去看戏。粤曲在古镇有着比骑楼更悠久的渊源。我曾采访过一个从小在古镇长大的美籍商人,他给我讲起年轻时和粤曲有关的故事。那是“文革”期间,他还是十七八岁的热血青年,几个喜欢粤曲的同伴凑在一起组成了私伙局。这个私伙局里面,就有当今的
Cantonese opera town square has a small stage, the city of Cantonese opera troupes performed here and there.
