Antiviral drug research began in the early 1950s. Methisazone was found to be active against mouse vaccinia and was clinically proven to be effective in controlling smallpox. This finding suggests that chemical control of virus-infected diseases is possible. Due to the virus’s growth and reproduction and host metabolism are closely related. Drugs that act on the virus inevitably also damage the host cell. Therefore, finding safe and effective antiviral drugs is a daunting task. In the past ten years, people have made breakthroughs in the herpes virus and influenza virus and found many kinds of antiviral drugs with good selectivity. Clinically
