Toni Morrison’s incisive and sharp brushwork reveals the black sex and the politics behind it. Regardless of the point of view of her novel, “history” is an unavoidable topic. This paper argues that the mode of operation of the black community in Paradise is exactly the same as that of the traditional literary texts. The inability to mobilize readers’ enthusiasm for the construction and interpretation of the meaning of meaning is obviously outdated in the postmodern context. The essay critiqued “paradise” “American exceptionalism ” ideology, as well as the black racism and fascism contained therein; it takes a historical look at the novel and the U.S. foreign policy, reveals the power discourse of the ruling group and Subjective will. By revealing the historical and historical literary nature of literature, Morrison clarified an effective way for black peoples and other disadvantaged groups to build their cultural identities.
