Gossypium species are native to the tropical and sub-tropical regions of the Americas, Australia, Africa and South Asia. Once introduced to other cotton producing areas, they are bound to show significant differences in ecological adaptability. Under natural conditions, wild cotton tends to stay in the vegetative growth stage in most areas of our country and is difficult to flowering and fruiting normally. Qian Siying et al. (1987) pointed out that all wild cotton plants in Nanjing are highly likely to be strong and sturdy by manually adjusting light and temperature. However, according to pay Huai Qin et al (1985) reported: Even in Anyang artificial short-day treatment, there are still some wild cotton received no seeds. In this way, the introduction of a wide range of exotic seeds of wild cotton, resulting in some difficulties.
