老设备要不要进行改造?这是一个重要的技术政策问题。回答是肯定的。我部有几万台金属切削机床,精密机床所占比例亦甚可观。但是,其中已有相当数量的机床性能落后,使用年限长,精度日趋下降。加之工厂过去基本上是按照批生产复制厂的性质配备机床的,万能通用设备居多,其构成比不够合理。因此,改造老设备,对于改变企业的生产与科研、生产一线与技术后方的布局,提高综合生产能力,加速航空工业生产建设,赶超世界先进水平,实现四个现代化,都具有十分重要的意义。老设备改造潜力很大,刻不容缓。
