由于RNA指导的DNA聚合酶(简称RIDP,即逆转录酶)的发现,而提出了一个假说,认为肿瘤病毒最终引起细胞转化的遗传物质,是肿瘤病毒核糖核酸的脱氧核糖核酸前病毒(DNA provirus)。如合成DNA前病毒所需的RIDP受到抑制,就能有效地阻止肿瘤病毒所侵入的细胞发生转化。体外试验发现,利福霉素SV(I)的某些衍生物是RIDP的抑制剂。其中一些衍生物且能降低为鼠肉瘤病毒(MSV)感染的BALB/3T3细胞以及正常大鼠肾细胞的转化率。
Due to the discovery of RNA-directed DNA polymerase (RIDP), a hypothesis is proposed that the tumor virus ultimately causes cellular transformation of genetic material that is the viral provirus of the viral DNA of the tumor (DNA provirus ). If the RIDP required for the synthesis of DNA provirus is inhibited, it can effectively prevent the invasion of tumor cells transformed cells. In vitro experiments found that certain derivatives of rifamycin SV (I) are inhibitors of RIDP. Some of these derivatives also reduced the rate of murine sarcoma virus (MSV) -infected BALB / 3T3 cells as well as normal rat kidney cells.
