1985年春天，全国关心油画问题的画家聚集在黄山开了一个座谈会。当时谈的问题很宽泛，但是集中起来无非是对西方艺术的借鉴和对中国传统艺术的传承，就是油画民族化以及如何对待西方现代艺术的问题。大家都在思考中国现代艺术到底应该是什么样，在谈的过程中肯定是有不同的看法，到目前为止还是有不同的看法。
