21世纪世界经济发展的中心将向有文化积累的城市转移。文化这一当代城市的核心要素,便是以公共艺术为载体来体现一个城市的文化形象、创造活力、民主政治和人文关怀。相应地,地域性言说和当代性表达成为了公共艺术的基本策略。而基于历史文脉的地域性言说与基于当代科技、文化和艺术的当代性表达的合一,当是当代城市化进程中公共艺术的应有策略。 The center of world economic development in the 21st century will shift to cities with cultural accumulation. The core element of culture, the contemporary city, is to embody the cultural image of a city and create vitality, democracy and humane care based on public art. Correspondingly, regional language and contemporary expression have become the basic strategies of public art. The combination of regional rhetoric based on historical context and contemporary expression based on contemporary science and technology, culture and art should be a proper strategy for public art in the process of urbanization.
