多年来世界纸与纸板的产量和消费量连续增长世界纸与板纸产量早在1990年就已超过2亿吨,2005年达到3.67亿吨。亚洲纸与纸板产量2001年已近1亿吨,以后逐年增加,2005年已经达到1.29亿吨。从2000年起,亚洲纸与纸板产量已经超过北美和欧洲,居世界首位。由于亚洲纸与纸板增产速度高于世界平均值,所以亚洲纸与纸板产量占世界总产量的比例明显提升,由1995年的27.9%提高到2005年的35.2%。
