From December 21 to December 24, 1985, the defense security protection professional group affiliated to the Commission of Science, Technology, and Industry for National Defense held the 1985 Annual Conference in Guangzhou. The annual meeting was attended by 43 units including the National Defense Commission of Science and Technology, the General Staff Corps of Engineers, the Guangzhou Military Region Corps of Engineers, and research, design and institutions within and outside the PLA, representing a total of 130 people.
