The B-1B Advanced Strategic Bombardier is being used to equip the newly manufactured AN / ALQ-161. The AN / ALQ-161 is probably the most sophisticated and advanced airborne EW system in the world. Eaton’s AIL Division is manufacturing such an integrated electronic warfare system at a monthly rate of two and is expected to reach a monthly production of four units by January 86.
