嘎裂声是近年来讨论较多的一种低调发声态,但都限于南方方言。本项研究调查了河北省的30多个方言以及数十个周边方言,发现嘎裂声普遍存在于官话中。其作用是起到刻画“低”[+low]这一声调特征。嘎裂声可以出现在凹调中部或降调后部。它在很多情况下只是低调的一个伴随或强化凸显特征,但在有些情况下,起到唯一的区别作用:区别两个相似的降调,或两个相似的凹调,或区别于一个高调。 Gaichao sound is discussed in recent years, a more low-key sound state, but are limited to the southern dialect. The study investigated more than 30 dialects and dozens of dialects in Hebei Province and found that Ga crack sound is common in Mandarin. Its role is to portray the tone characteristic of “low” [+ low]. Ga crack can appear in the concave central or downgoing the rear. In many cases it is just a low-key concomitant or intensive highlighting, but in some cases it serves the sole purpose of distinguishing between two similar downgrades, or two similar concavities, or different from one high-profile.
