作为一代藩王 ,朱有能奉藩自全 ,而政治上的无作为却玉成了他对杂剧的创新。朱有剧作在体制方面的创新是普遍的和系统的 (这一点在同时代尚无人与之并列 )。这和前人认为其“犹有金元风范”即对元曲名家名作的忠实继承并不构成矛盾。继承是基础 ,创新是动力。二者的结合在一定程度上弥补了作品思想内容上由于正统教化和韬晦保守带来的不足 ,从而构成了朱有杂剧艺术上的成功 ,也促进了宫廷杂剧的一时繁荣
