在新疆准噶尔盆地北线中中新世索索泉组顶部和哈拉玛盖组底部发现4枚尺寸较大、具有齿根的高齿冠兔形类牙齿(P2、2p3和p4/m1/m2)-,曾被鉴定为Amphilagus。研究表明,它们不是Amphilagus,而是与中亚的Desmatoloagus、欧洲的Amphilagus和对Titanomys及北美的Hesperolagomys、Gripholagomys和Russellagus都较亲近的一个属。命名为新属新种准噶尔褶齿兔Plicalagusjunggarensis。其主要特征是:p3冠面三角形,外褶沟的深度为齿宽的1/2,其后壁釉质层具小褶皱。
In the northern part of the Junggar Basin in northern Xinjiang, the Soxhonquan Formation and the bottom of the Halamagi Formation in the northern part of the Junggar Basin, there are four large, crooked rabbit teeth (P2, 2p3 and p4 / m1 / m2) -, has been identified as Amphilagus.
