在“典型”这一美学概念传入中国后,1935—1936年发生了以胡风和周扬为主关于文学典型的论争。论争发生在马克思主义典型理论刚刚引入我国、而国内典型理论还基本上处于一片空白的草创阶段,这对我们加深对典型本质的理解和对典型艺术特征的认识具有重要意义,也为后来的典型理论打下了坚实的基础,对我国文学史上典型理论的建设具有开创性的意义。
