庞贊襄为我国著名中医眼科专家，著有《中医眼科临床实践》一书，提出“因郁致病”论，临证治疗眼病时多选用银柴胡。本文通过查阅相关文献，探寻庞氏家族治疗眼病时为什么多选用银柴胡而非柴胡的原因，认为庞氏家族应用银柴胡治疗眼病主要取其“明目益精”的作用。
