我国的经济特区已经走过整整20年的路程。20多年来,经济特区在我国的改革开放和现代化建设中发挥了重要的窗口和基地作用,重要的示范、幅射和带动作用,积累了丰富的经验。实践证明,我国的经济特区与世贸组织规则并不相悖。中国入世在即,经济特区应继续当好改革开放和现代化建设的排头兵,发挥好窗口和示范作用,率先与世贸组织规则接轨。 Our special economic zone has gone through a full 20 years. For more than 20 years, the special economic zones have played an important window and base role in our country’s reform and opening up as well as in the modernization drive. They have played an important role in demonstrating, radiating and driving the economic zones and have accumulated rich experience. Practice has proved that our special economic zone and the WTO rules are not contrary. Immediately after China’s accession to the WTO, the special economic zone should continue to be a vanguard of reform, opening up, and modernization drive, play a good window and an exemplary role, and take the lead in aligning itself with the WTO rules.
