中国近30年的现代化过程及其初步经验,以其丰富内容和潜在的长远延伸前景,在人类现代化理论和实践方面做出最新的贡献,使我们有必要重新反思现代化理论及其实际策略原则,一方面对以往以西方为中心的现代化理论论述体系进行全面的重新估计,另一方面对人类未来现代化前景做出开放性探索,真正实现从传统西方现代化模式的约束过渡到全人类多样现代化时代的转变。这是人类现代化历史上具有里程碑意义的重大转折。
