Bomu Chinese students in Burma are both Chinese and Burmese bilinguals or polygrams. Their Chinese and Burmese language skills are quite similar. Chinese mainly use Chinese dialects at home, Chinese use more often in Mandarin schools (mainly Mandarin), and Burmese schools use more Burmese Language, mainly in the social interaction outside the school using Chinese and Burmese bilingual. Both of them hold a positive attitude toward both Chinese and Burmese languages and highly agree with the native culture and their ethnic groups. The local government should fully respect and guarantee the right of all ethnic groups in China, including the Chinese, to mother-tongue education and use of mother tongue. Chinese language education should be integrated into its national education system.
