随着网络应用的普及,高校通过网络进行信息传播的方式,已经从建立介绍性的主页拓展到建立即时更新的新闻门户网站。清华、北大、人大、浙大等高校都已经建立了新闻网。这些新闻网在传播对象上多以对外传播为主,在传播内容上主要是学校动态,较少涉及到学生日常活动和校园内部事务。清华大学除了以对外传播为主的“清华新闻”外,还建立了由学生自我管理的、面向校内学生的“学生清华”门户网站,新闻频道是“学生清华”的重要部分之一。网站的新闻频道把“目标顾客”明确定位在清华大学在校学生,因此在传播内容上,以学生关注的学生生活、校内信息为主。“学生清华”网站实行IP地址访问控制,只有使用校内IP地址的用户才可访问,而“清华新闻”对于校内外用户都是开放的。
