2008年北京奥运会,2010年上海世博,都在世人面前展现了一个同时有着深厚文化底蕴,和浓郁现代气息的中国。这样的盛会在吸引了全球的目光的同时,也为中国带来了更多被世界了解的机会。对外宣传在向时间传递中国传统文化、政治、经济信息的任务中,扮演着重要的角色,对外宣传翻译也因此得到了更多的重视。2015年7月31日,北京成功取得2022年冬奥会举办权,这样的大事件必将需要更多的人员参与到外宣活动中,必将推动对外宣传翻译
