近几年来穿透性高能电子辐射引起工业广泛的注意,认为这是加工各种物质的极希望的工具。目前,美国许多公司和机构单位正大力进行这方面的工作。它们的研究工作极为广泛,从辐射与物质相互作用的理论研究起到照射装置的实际操作都包括在研究范围以内。近来,虽然提出和研究了许多类型的辐射源,但范德格喇夫静电加速器和微波直线加速器仍是适于工业应用的主要的辐射源。
In recent years, penetrating high-energy electron radiation has aroused widespread industry attention as a highly desirable tool for the processing of various substances. At present, many U.S. companies and agencies are making great efforts in this area. Their research work is very extensive. The actual operation of the irradiation device from the theoretical study of the interaction between radiation and matter is included in the research scope. Recently, although many types of radiation sources have been proposed and studied, the Van de Graf electrostatic accelerator and the microwave linac are still the main sources of radiation suitable for industrial applications.
