网络时代的到来使得信息传播的速度快、影响的范围广,网民对于信息的甄别能力弱,每天面对数以亿计的信息,任何信息都容易被有心人士利用而形成网络舆情。互联网时代使得信息传播的成本低,而我国关于互联网信息传播的法律规范存在不足,缺乏强有力的机关单位对网络舆论进行引导,在互联网平台上信息传播形成一种自发性、散发式的传播方式。公安机关作为社会治安的维护者,在网络时代的发展下网络舆论的发展容易引起社会秩序的动荡,引起民众心理的恐慌,因此公安机关在网络时代的发展背景下要积极的应对网络舆论的不足,对网络舆论进行有效的引导,建立完善的网络舆论法律引导机制,通过法律措施规范网络舆论行为,营造一个良好、健康的互联网环境。
