多年前,我第一次见赵山亭,送我一本他的书法篆刻作品集,读后感慨很多。不久把自己的一些真实感受写成一篇短文——《探索与选择》送给山亭。文中就其作品进行了认真剖析,有热情的赞誉,也有尖刻的批评。没想到山亭把文章一字未改地寄到几家报刊并发表,引来了一些好评。山亭说,那是因为我讲出了真话,而他想听的就是真话。这使我十分感动,因为讲真话容易,能接受真话才是真正的不容易,况且时下能选择听真话的艺术家已经非常少了。山亭近来还说,我在那篇文章中的一些话他至今还记得很清楚。他大概指的是一些批评的话。由于我的那篇文章,使我认识了一个真实的山亭:勤奋、谦虚、大度,有良好的品德和心理素质,有从事书法艺术 Years ago, I first met Zhao Shanting, sent me a copy of his calligraphy and seal cutting works, feeling a lot after reading.
