Two more rivers crossed the autumn of 1952, Hu Yaobang transferred to the Central Committee First Secretary. He said to all the heads of the Central Propaganda Mission Mission: There have been only two Chinese revolutions in the past few decades, calling for “liberation”; in the future, the two words are called “construction.” To build a good country, we must cross two major rivers: not the Yangtze River and the Yellow River, nor the Jinsha River and the Dadu River, but the “river of poverty” and the “river of ignorance.” To cross such a big river, no intellectuals will not work. To be honest, intellectuals are also the main force in the founding of the People’s Republic.
