市直团员青年所在的单位是市委、政府直属机关及其所领导的下级单位,集执行、决策、管理和服务等各项工作于一身,由此决定了市直团员青年的工作和地位十分重要。市直团员青年虽不是青年的主体,但代表主流;虽不是一个阶层,也构成了一个群体;在青年队伍中虽是少数,但影响多数;在工作上虽不是中坚,但是生力军。研究市直团员青年的特点,发挥好市直团员青年的作用,对于市委、政府各项工作的落实,对于富民强市目标的实现,对于青年工作的有效深入,进而对于党的事业的发展,有着十分重要的意义。
