Objective To investigate the changes and clinical significance of plasma prothrombin time (PT), activated partial prothrombin time (APTT) and fibrinogen (Fg) in patients with cerebrovascular disease. Methods 124 patients with cerebrovascular disease and 88 control subjects were enrolled in this study. Plasma PT, APTT and Fg were measured by Clauss method and their changes and clinical significance were analyzed. Results The plasma levels of Fg in patients with cerebrovascular disease were significantly higher than those in the control group (P <0.05). There was no significant difference in the contents of PT and APTT between the two groups (P> 0.05). Conclusion Fg content has an important clinical value in the early diagnosis of cerebrovascular disease. However, PT and APTT can not be used as early diagnosis indicators of cerebrovascular disease.
