八十年代中期,“要致富,先修路”的口号在忙碌着致富的人们当中流传颇广,山东人意识到,交通通畅与否将直接影响到经济发展。大力发展交通事业不仅是一种愿望,更是振兴经济的一种要求。中共山东省委书记姜春云审时度势,指出“交通必须打通,交通必须适应,交通必须先行。”自1988年起,全社会大力兴办交通的战役在齐鲁大地上全面展开。今天,在山东3000多公里海岸线上,密布着23个港口,195个泊位,年吞吐能力达到了1亿吨。其中10个港口对外开放,与世界100多个国家的300多个港口开通了航线。山东的沿海港口密度已跃居中国前列。连按这些港口与内陆城市的是四通八达的公路网络。如今,山东省公路已达46033公里,其中高速公路318公里,一级公路998公里,二级
In the mid-1980s, the slogan of “becoming rich and building roads first” spread widely among people who were busy getting rich. Shandong people realized that the smooth flow of traffic will directly affect economic development.
