单木生长模型能准确预测林分的生长状况,对森林经营管理的科学调控具有重要的作用。文中从单木生长模型系统设计的理论假设、与距离相关和与距离无关的单木生长模型系统、单木生长模型的方程设计类型、单木生长模型自变量因子的选择等方面对基于单木生长模型的森林动态模拟系统涉及的关键问题进行了论述,并对单木生长模型有待深入研究的方向进行了展望,提出应加强单木生长模型随机效应和单木生长模型向林分尺度扩展的研究,以期为今后构建高度集约、精确模拟、使用便宜的单木生长模型系统提供参考。
