一、前言环太平洋地震带是世界上最大的地震带。在该地震带中,岛弧海沟区是世界上最大的地震海啸发源地。我国东临太平洋,台湾岛作为琉球——菲律宾岛弧的一个特殊成员,正处在这条地震带中。这里地质构造复杂,地震活动强烈,历史上曾多次遭受地震海啸之苦。本文的目的是从地震地质学的角度,分析太平洋地震海啸的产生机制,並结合台湾及其周围地区的地震地质特征,对该地区产生地震海啸的可能性进行初步探讨。
I. Introduction The Pacific Rim is the largest seismic zone in the world. In this seismic zone, the island arc trench area is the world’s largest earthquake and tsunami birthplace. As a special member of the Ryukyu-Philippine island arc, Taiwan is on the east side of the Pacific Ocean and Taiwan Island. It is in this seismic zone. Geological structure here is complex, strong seismic activity, history has repeatedly suffered the earthquake and tsunami. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the mechanism of the tsunami in the Pacific Ocean from the aspect of seismology and geology, and to discuss the possibility of earthquake and tsunami in the area in combination with the seismic geological characteristics in and around Taiwan.
