This paper investigates the concentrations of copper, zinc, aluminum and cadmium in food, water and drinking water in northeastern Hungary, the human daily intake, and the content in human autopsy organs. METHODS: The authors analyzed 3000 samples of different soil, liquid foods and 150 samples of drinking water, as well as 1072 human liver, kidney, lung and 66 adrenal glands. Pre-treatment and analysis: Water samples were evaporated and the residue was acid digested to volume.
