1981—1982年间,笔者对珠江口外西侧的大横琴岛、小横琴岛、三灶岛、高栏岛等海岛沿岸不同地貌单元表层沉积物的重矿物作了研究。这一研究是在粒度分析的基础上进行的,其方法是选取有代表性的21个样品,分别对0.25—0.125毫米和0.125—0.063毫米两个粒级沉积物的重矿物组成、含量变化以及矿物组合特征等作了初步研究。重矿物分析是用离心机配合重液分离,再经磁选,然后作镜下鉴定,计算矿物百分含量。对个别样品还进行了微化分析。
During 1981-1982, the author studied the heavy minerals of surface sediments in different geomorphologic units along the islands such as Dahengqin Island, Xiaoqin Island, Three Kao Island and Gaolan Island, west of the Pearl River Estuary. This study was conducted on the basis of particle size analysis by selecting 21 representative samples of heavy mineral composition, content changes of 0.25-0.125 mm and 0.125-0.063 mm sediments, respectively Mineral combination features made a preliminary study. Heavy mineral analysis is centrifuged with heavy liquid separation, and then by magnetic separation, and then microscopic identification, calculation of mineral content. Individual samples were also analyzed for micronization.
