Solid carburizing agent mostly charcoal as the main body. However, charcoal activity is small, diffusion is slow, if the carburizing temperature is not properly controlled, it is difficult to get the desired results; the same time, expensive charcoal, consumption, currently not fully available. Comrade Du Yinyi, director of our factory, conducted a research on this situation. With the assistance of the engineer Zhang Shaowu, he successfully researched the successful use of cheap coal powder instead of charcoal as a carburizing agent and achieved good results. Carburizing agent preparation After several tests, we believe that: carburizing agent with the composition of coal 50%, sawdust 40% and carbonate 10% more appropriate. Pulverized coal to be used with relatively low sulfur content of anthracite coal (we are using coal mine Pinggang), the particle size should be 2 to 5 mm;
