At a recent annual meeting of the American Chemical Society, Canadian scientists announced a new discovery that the purification of protein hydrolysates from peas can treat kidney disease. This is the first time Canada has found the treatment of chronic kidney disease and high blood pressure in natural foods. Researchers first performed kidney damage on mice used for experiments and then purified the proteins from peas
