经典著作《红楼梦》可谓中国文学史上一朵奇葩,无数中外读者深深被它吸引。不过阅读120回的《红楼梦》确实很费时日,为了满足读者的需求,黄新渠教授编译了《红楼梦》(汉英双语精简本),将原著删节或糅合某些章节为一章,此书自出版后深受读者喜欢。不过笔者在阅读中也发现了一些中英文本对应的问题,分为四类:漏译、多译、误译和不一致。
The classic “Dream of Red Mansions” is a wonderful work in the history of Chinese literature. Numerous Chinese and foreign readers are deeply attracted to it. However, reading 120 times of “Dream of the Red Chamber” really is a time-consuming, in order to meet the needs of readers, Professor Huang Xinqu compiled the “Dream of Red Mansions” (simplified Chinese and English), the original abridge or blend some chapters as a chapter, the book since the publication After the reader favorite. However, the author also found some corresponding problems in reading Chinese and English texts, divided into four categories: missed translation, multiple translations, mistranslations and inconsistencies.
