The main nuclear fuel used to make the atomic bomb is uranium (chemical symbol U). In 1954, the first uranium ore that China sought assistance from former Soviet experts in order to manufacture the atomic bomb was discovered on the Mount Xifhan of Yao Nationality Township, Huashan County, Zhongshan County, Hezhou City, Guangxi Province. As early as 1942-1943, Nan Tingzong and Wu Leibai of the Central Research Institute first discovered uranium deposits in Huasuandong rock mass in Fuzhong County, Guangxi (Fuchuan County and Zhongshan Mountain counties in 1962) The formation of uranium deposits is related to the Wei Jing granite. The gasification deposits formed secondary uranium deposits along the fissures by weathering and identified crystalline uraninite, lead, uraninite and phosphate uranium deposits.
