刘长年,1965年生于盘锦,职业画家。少年时从师田玉武学习玻璃画,后进修于鲁迅美术学院国画系。2007年师从国画大师李宝瑞。近年在中国航天航空大学、人民大学、辽宁美术馆等多次举办个人画展。刘长年的画作主要有三大系列:一是重彩花鸟,二是写意人体,三是水墨山水。水墨山水正式起步较晚,至今不过三四年光景,却发展最快,同时也最能体现画家本人的心理特征。在刘长年看来,水墨是表情达意的工具,就像二胡是阿炳 Liu Changnian was born in 1965 in Panjin, a professional painter.
