第6届春兰杯世界职业围棋赛已于3月11日在北京开赛,前两轮比赛中,6名中国棋手打入八强,再次占据极为有利的位置。说起春兰杯,不得不提起春兰集团首席执行官陶建幸。如果没有陶建幸,就没有春兰杯;如果没有陶建幸,春兰杯大概也不会在中国棋手连续五届比赛均与冠军无缘的情况下还能继续。春兰杯在中国棋界人中的地位无以复加,甚至可以说是中国围棋界的“颜面”。一如中国棋协主席陈祖德所言,1998年以前,中国棋手一直参加日韩和中国台湾赞助主办的世界围棋比赛,偌大中国大陆,竟然没有一项世界围棋锦标赛,实在有些说不过去。1998年底,春兰杯在北京创办,看到日韩、中国台北以及欧美棋手前来参赛,中国棋界第一次有了迎接客人的感觉。
