缺粮的大粮山米山乡在高平县的东南方,是黄土丘陵区。境內有两条大河环繞着三座大山,地势崎嶇,沟壑縱横。全乡二万四千七百五十四亩耕地中,山坡沟地就占了75%,因而常遭受旱灾。每亩产量从來不到二百斤。大粮山,米粧川,收人听見心喜欢; 誰知受尽千般苦,十年九旱受灾难。下雨山洪发,雨过地皮干; 土地被冲刷,粮食大减产。这是米山乡多年来流傳着的歌謠,也是对米山乡群众生活的写照。 Lack of food grain Mountain Township in the southeastern Gaoping County, is a loess hilly area.
