王实甫《西厢记》描写的崔张爱情故事,肇始于中唐元稹的《莺莺传》,其直接蓝本则是金代董解元的《西厢记诸宫调》。从唐时开始,崔张爱情故事便广为人所乐道,其后更以不同的艺术形式得以广泛传播,杂剧《西厢记》就是在继承此前崔张爱情民主文化观念的基础上进行的崭新的再创造,而那些直接描写崔张爱情故事的艺术作品,就是王实甫杂剧《西厢记》的近源。对《西厢记》近源的考察与研究,取得了令人较为满意的成果;但是对《西厢记》远源相类作品的探讨与评价,则显得相当薄弱。《西厢记》所描写的青年男女爱情,若能结合此前相类爱情作品及其文化观念加以考察的话,必将使人更加清楚深刻地认识到杂剧《西厢记》所体现出来的进步爱情观念以及超前的文化精神,毫无疑问这是极有意义的工作。值得提出的是王季思先生以及社科院文研所总纂的《唐代文学史》,对此问题已经做了较好的坚实的铺垫与开拓工作,他们为此付出了辛勤的劳动,然而有些问题仍有待进一步展开。本文即旨在学者相关研究的基础上,就此问题再次申而论之。

However, some The problem still needs further development. This article is aimed at scholars based on the relevant research, to re-apply this issue in terms of this.
