Objective To explore the second generation of STD / AIDS surveillance and population-based interventions for prostitutes. Methods From September 2001 to September 2002, 184 prostitute women were investigated by serological, clinical and behavioral surveillance to evaluate the effects of interventions such as STDs and health education. Results The prevalence of venereal diseases in commercial group prostitutes before and after intervention was significantly different (P <0.01). The prevalence of STD infections in commercial group prostitutes tended to decrease with time, and the use of condoms in target groups was strengthened. Conclusion The monitoring and intervention of STD / AIDS in the second generation of prostitutes is helpful to prevent and control the prevalence of STD / AIDS.
