长期以来,我国的外语教学一直投入很大,却收效甚微。这引起了探讨:教什么?怎么教?学什么?怎样学?很多老师终日辛勤耕耘,花费大量的时间和精力,结果却不容乐观。为什么会出现这种情况,根据对部分学生的英语学习情况的调查了解,可以看出:他们在英语科上投入的时间不能说少,但主要是因为他们认为英语是高考中的重要课程,非学不可,换句话说,他们是为了升学而学习,却不是为了运用而学习;即使掌握了一些语言知识,可到实际运用时却又时常感到束手无策,等等。要扭转这种局面,切实提高教学质量,我认为在平时的教学中应正确处理以下几对关系:
For a long time, our foreign language teaching has been invested a lot, but with little effect. This led to the discussion: What to teach? How to teach? What to learn? How to learn? Many teachers work hard all day long, spending a lot of time and effort, the result is not optimistic. Why did this happen? Based on a survey of some students’ English learning, we can see that they can not spend less time teaching English subjects, but mainly because they think English is an important course in the college entrance examination. In other words, they learn to go to higher education but not to use it. Even if they have acquired some knowledge of the language, they often feel helpless when they actually use it, and so on. To reverse this situation and effectively improve the quality of teaching, I think the following pairs of relations should be correctly handled in normal teaching:
