徐志摩在诗歌语言的艺术化、诗歌体式的多样化、诗歌结构的规范化和诗歌技巧的纯粹化等方面所作的创造性努力,是其他中国诗人所不能替代的。徐志摩的诗是中国新诗由粗劣的语言到艺术的语言的转折性标志。徐志摩诗歌的艺术美在当时就具有形式美建构上的现代性意义。徐志摩对新诗发展理论的探索、对新格律诗创作的尝试以及对新诗发展的影响不容忽视。徐志摩的诗创作是对“五四”新诗和新文学传统的一种发展,并使之达到了一个相对成熟的水平。
Xu Zhimo’s creative efforts in such aspects as the artistic style of poetry, the diversification of poetic styles, the standardization of poetic structures and the pureness of poetic techniques are beyond the reach of other Chinese poets. Xu Zhimo’s poem is a turning point for Chinese new poetry from the inferior language to the artistic language. The artistic beauty of Xu Zhimo’s poetry at the time possessed the modernity significance of formal beauty. Xu Zhimo’s exploration of the theory of the development of new poetry, his attempts to create a new style of poetry and its influence on the development of new poetry can not be ignored. Xu Zhimo’s poetry creation is a development of “May 4th” new poetry and new literary tradition, which has brought it to a relatively mature level.
