黄毓英是云南辛亥“重九”起义的重要功臣,却在1912年5月于贵州遇刺身亡。他的死亡是一个非常意外的事件,传统的说法是“遇匪袭击”死亡,然而有人怀疑是有人故意制造事端致死。他在辛亥云南“重九”起义中的作用,体现在争取蔡锷、促成起义日期的确定及打响起义第一枪等方面,都值得进一步研究。他的早年身世,也值得深入考察。对黄毓英的深入研究,有助于对云南辛亥革命史认识的深化。 Huang Yuying is an important contributor to the revival of the “Xinhui” in Yunnan Xinhai, but was assassinated in Guizhou in May 1912. His death was a very unexpected event. Traditionally it was said that “bandit attacks” had been fatal. However, some people suspected that someone deliberately made an incident to death. His role in the revolt of Yunnan’s “Nine” campaign in Xinhai was reflected in its efforts to win Cai E, ascertain the date of the uprising, and launch the first shot of the uprising, which deserved further study. His early life experience also deserves further investigation. In-depth study of Huang Yuying will help to deepen the understanding of the history of 1911 Revolution in Yunnan.
