On the eve of the 10th anniversary of the great founding of the People’s Republic of China, preliminary tests of machine translation in both Russia and China were succeeded. This test was conducted on the first large general-purpose fast electronic digital computer in our country. Translated some different types of Russian sentences, the results fully meet the expected requirements. (See appendix.)
